This post will come out a little bit of a focus of the blog ... as you know this week was the Days of Halloween (HALLOWEEN) Halloween although not much celebrated and accepted here in Brazil, has its history and its culture, it seems that there will be a Halloween party at my school just did not haveyour date confirmed yet, although it had spent a little of the traditional date is never too late to talk or if my school have a party, after all this celebration here in Brazil is not very well accepted.
A little about the history of Halloween
The history of this commemorative day has more than 2500 years.Emerged among the Celtic people, who believed in the last days of summer (October 31), the spirits come out of the cemeteries to possess the bodies of the living. To scare these ghosts, put the Celts, houses, scary objects, for example, skulls, bones decorated pumpkins decorated among others.
Being a pagan feast was ordered in Europe during the Middle Ages, when it became known as Halloween. Those who celebrated this date were persecuted and condemned to the stake by the Inquisition.
In order to decrease the pagan influences in Medieval Europe, the Church Christianized the party, creating the All Souls' Day (November 2).

Jack - The Lantern Pumpkin
Among all the soulless, there is the ancient legend of Stingy Jack.According to Irish myth, he would have invited the devil to drink with him on the day of Halloween. After getting their fill of drink, the wily Jack convinced the Devil to turn into a coin so that the bar bill was paid. However, instead of paying off the debt, the currency in Jack nailed a crucifix.
To get rid of the prison, the Devil has accepted an agreement that promised never bothering Jack. Thus, he was released and never bothered the man. However, Jack died and was not accepted at the gates of heaven for having done a deal with the devil. Going down to hell, was also rejected by the devil because of the deal they had. Seeing that Jack was lonely and lost, the devil gave him a turnip with coal which served as a flashlight.
Upon arrival to North America, the Irish brought the celebration of Halloween to America and turned into a Jack O Lantern pumpkin lit with human features. The costumes and masks, as used by the participants of the party, would be a way to avoid being recognized by the spirits that roam this day. Currently, the costumes are used by children who knock on doors demanding candy in place of a Treat (trick or treat) against the owner of the house.
